ANJEL IS AN ECLECTIC AND IMMERSIVE ARTIST WITH AN ENERGETIC PRESENCE

Former rock singer turned Afropop & RnB - ANJEL has brought her journey back to the sounds she grew up with in Lagos, Nigeria.

As an independent Afropop artist she has set out to make 2024 a year of reformation. Releasing her 1st single “Fire” that received excited listeners within the first 30 days. Gaining traction in the UK and the Netherlands.
As an experienced live performer from her former career in Rock, she captivates every audience with her theatrical performances.

Being both an actress, singer & songwriter ensures her music is an expression of her eccentric & festive personality. This infused with an upbringing in the Nigerian entertainment industry has put her on a path early on towards musical prominence.

Born in vibrant Lagos, ANJEL's creative journey began early, driven by a passion for music, film & modelling.
At just 5 years old, auditions led her from TV commercials and billboards to hosting a fashion TV show at age 9. In her early teen years she captivated viewers as Ranti Ogunlaja in the TV drama “Burning Spear”

In Copenhagen she joined the metal rock scene as a singer in South Haven. Touring most of Denmark as well as Tokyo - their debut album "Motion" amassed 5 million streams.

Now returning to her musical roots she is crafting her debut album within Afropop & RnB. Working with producers in Europe and her home country of Nigeria.
ANJEL grew up with the exhilarating sounds of Afrobeat's Fela Kuti, Onyeka Onwenu & Brenda Fassie. But also international stars as Queen, Destiny's Child, Avril Lavigne and even Bollywood's Shah Ruhk Khan.

In her teenage years she tuned into Rihanna & Lana Del Ray which influences her musical style till this day. She emerged herself in the world of rock with bands such as The Pretty Reckless, Fall Out Boy & Joan Jett.

ANJEL’s diverse background fueled by musical theatre, classic & contemporary icons, becomes evident in her musical storytelling and electrifying performances.
